La Société historique de Rivière-du-Loup
The historical society of Rivière-du-Loup was founded November 17th 1965. "Let’s remember" was adopted as its motto. The society became inactive in 1973, was revived in November 1986 and became incorporated on September 11th 1987. As a non-profit-making society, it’s aim is to encourage people to remember, discover and share their local history.
AIMS
- Organize, promote and sponsor historical, genealogical and cultural activities.
- Hold conferences, meetings and exhibitions for the promotion and accessibility of history and genealogy.
- Collect and classify ancient documents, contracts, photographs and postcards, etc...
